Expanding Drums for Paper-Cutting Machines, U. S. Patent 203,833, May 21, 1878,William E. Hudson, North Manchester, Connecticut.

The invention is a paper-cutting machine with a drum that expands or contracts so the length of the cut pieces of paper can be varied.

The model is 12" x 7" x 8" and is made of at least three kinds of metal and a wood roller. It is in excellent condition. No Patent Office tags remain but a 1940s Nieman-Marcus Galleries price tag with the price of $450.00 remains.
