Tea Kettle and Other vessels, U. S. Patent 67,425, August 6, 1867, Sheldon B. Everitt,Ansonia, Connecticut. This tea kettle is made of seamless sheet metal, and has a flanged bottom suitable to fit inside the opening of the top of a cook stove after the round stove lid is removed. This reduces heating time. The invention was widely used, and would even be useful today. The model is 14" x 11" x 11" wide, and well made of brass colored metal. It is in mint condition and is exhibited with the original Patent Office tag. |
