Holger Stratmann - Biography:

Attorney-at-law, admitted at the Munich Regional Courts I and II and the Munich Higher Regional Court; authorised to represent before all the German Regional Courts and Higher Regional Courts, the Court of First Instance of the European Communities, the European Court of Justice (ECJ), the European Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (Trademarks and Designs) - OHIM, the European Patent Office, the Federal Patent Court of Germany and the German Patent and Trademark Office.

SPECIALIST FIELDS:
Specialised in patent, trademark and unfair competition litigation, both national and cross-border; international and domestic licensing and contract negotiations, with particular emphasis on patent, trademark and research and development matters; drafting commercial arrangements in relation to the development, implementation and licensing of computer hard- and software; advising in all matters relating to anti counterfeiting and product piracy, in particular coordinating EU-wide border seizure proceedings; advising on and undertaking retrieval of domain names; sound experience of European competition law regarding its impact in areas of IP law.

PUBLICATIONS/LECTURES:
Publications and lectures on patent law, domain grabbing and product piracy.

German Bar Association, LES, GRUR.

CAREER:
Study of law at the Free University of Berlin with an emphasis on business law and intellectual property law. Education, inter alia, at the Federal Cartel Office of Germany, Cartel Senate of the Berlin Court of Appeal and at the German-Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Sydney. Assistant to the professor of civil law, civil procedural law and employment law at the Technical University of Berlin from 1990 to 1995. Postgraduate Diploma in EU Competition Law from King's College London (1996). Attorney-at-law since 1993. With Hoffmann Eitle since 1994.
